Jason & Wendy's House
Attendees:  Jason, Wendy, Jim, Kathy, & Philipp

Here's a picture of Wendy all dressed up for cooking on Thanksgiving Day. She was able to complete the majority of cooking on Wednesday night, so Thursday morning was pretty easy!
Here's our turkey! This was the smallest turkey we've ever done at 18lbs, but it was definitely big enough for only five eaters.

We have traditionally smoked our turkeys on an electric smoker, but this year we were able to use our new Kamado. LP gas was used to light it and then it smoked for about 8 hours over hickory wood chunks and mesquite charcoal. A metal bowl with red wine and spices was also in the grill to help "juice" the turkey.

The finished product! Philipp helped me get it off the grill and Mom jumped in for the "photo op".
Here's the dinner table. Everything was excellent thanks to Wendy! Leftovers for a week is my bet. Dad was happily snapping the pictures, which means he didn't end up in any. Next time!

Thanksgiving was also Philipp's birthday, so we celebrated during desert with a special chocolate cake.
